Wendy is currently employed as a Sr. Procurement Specialist at Commonwealth Edison where she serves as Vice President of the Organization of Latinos at Exelon.

Wendy is currently employed as a Sr. Procurement Specialist at Commonwealth Edison where she serves as Vice President of the Organization of Latinos at Exelon. She is also an active member of all the Employee Resource Groups at Exelon.

 

After working as an account rep for a transportation company and focusing on the international arena, Wendy started her own third party logistics business specializing in shipments between the US and Mexico. Wendy is bilingual and bicultural- Spanish/English and is pursuing a BA in Public Relations with a concentration in Multicultural Studies at DePaul University. She also volunteered as an ESL teacher for the Illinois Migrant Council.

 

Wendy believes it is critical for all of us to become global citizens and learn as much as we can about each others’ cultures, customs and lifestyles.  Every day, we find ourselves dealing with people with diverse backgrounds in both our personal and professional lives. 

On her personal time, Wendy enjoys cooking, traveling, gardening and spending time with her family and friends.  She is an active member of HACE and a 2012 Spring Cohort of the Mujeres de HACE Leadership Program.
