Gina Santana

Gina has over a decade of experience in the areas of strategic brand planning, marketing and consumer insights with an emphasis in the general market as well as the fast-growing U.S. Latino consumer. As a Founder and Director of Marketing and Communications at Café Media, Gina oversees the strategic brand planning of the company’s various platforms.
Gina has executed strategic work as a brand planner at JWT-Chicago and was a senior consultant at Urban Diverse Marketing (UDM). Prior to these roles she worked for Leo Burnett USA as a senior brand planner, and as research director for Leo Burnett Colombiana in Bogotá, Colombia.
Gina's experience in strategic planning spans a wide range of consumer brands and categories, these include: US Cellular, Maytag Corporation, Jenn-Air, Kraft, Nestle, Kellogg, Philip Morris, and McDonald’s (Domestic & International) to name a few.
Gina also brings experience in a broad array of qualitative research techniques and analysis.
Gina holds a BA from Northern Illinois University in Corporate/Organizational Communications and a MA from University of Illinois in Cross-Cultural Communications.
