Social Media Manager

Cristina Aguirre is the Social Media Coordinator for HACE. She manages social media presence on Twitter, Facebook  and LinkedIn. She also manages HACE's online content and assists in shooting video and photography at HACE's events.

Aguirre is a senior at Columbia College Chicago, majoring in journalism with a concentration in television and photography. Aguirre has worked internationally documenting stories in France, Peru and Puerto Rico through all multimedia platforms. She has interned for CNN Chicago, The Chicago Reporter, and worked as a reporter for Metro Minutes and Illinois Latino T-VE. She is currently the Multimedia Editor for her college's award winning newspaper, The Columbia Chronicle.

Aguirre is from East Chicago, Ind. She serves as President for the National Association of Hispanic Journalists Columbia College Student Chapter and won the 2010 Student News Feature Award at the Chicago/Midwest Emmy Awards for her collaboration on a mini documentary about youth programs aiming to combat violence in Chicago.
