Delia Gutierrez McLaughlin is the Director of Outsourced Vendor Management for Aon Corporation’s Technology Services and Solutions team, based in Chicago. Delia has over eighteen years of experience in information technology, telephony and software development.  Delia currently provides governance and oversight for the Technology Services and Solutions team for all technology projects that affect Aon Hewitt employees in the United States.  In addition, Delia manages the escalation for all end user issues within Aon Hewitt by providing an added layer of leadership between Aon and Aon’s vendors to resolve issues that are affecting US offices.  Delia is also currently leading Aon’s overall technology refresh program in the United States.

Prior to Delia’s current role, Delia’s expertise in managing joint business/technology strategy was significantly leveraged as a project stream leader during Aon’s largest global transformation program – a migration from Lotus Notes to the Microsoft Outlook product suite.  Delia was also a Senior Manager for Aon Risk Solution’s technology team, managing project managers, business analysts an application support team; and acted as the liaison between Aon Risk Solutions’ customers and technology specialists.

During 2009, Delia was selected for, and successfully completed Aon’s Catalyst Americas Program.  Catalyst Americas is an Aon leadership program designed to identify and develop high potential executives.  The program focuses on developing the ability to make strategic business decisions, and leveraging participants’ talents and skills while nurturing overall personal and career growth techniques.  Selected participants include Aon managers as well as executive leaders.

Delia has played a significant role in growing Aon’s Latino Business Networking as the National Chairperson. Delia collaborates with other networking groups within Aon as well as partnering with other minority business organizations to create opportunities for Aon employees. In addition, Delia is also chairperson for the Advisory Board of Mujeres de HACE and sits on the Board of Directors for the Gad’s Hill organization in Chicago.

In October, 2010 Delia was elected to the Hispanic IT Executive Council (HITEC) and has been selected to the HITEC 100 – Most Influential Hispanic Executives in IT.  HITEC is a premier professional organization for Hispanic IT Executives which focuses on significantly increasing Hispanic leadership in information technology. HITEC recognizes the importance of highlighting HITEC members and their achievements by focusing on technology leaders who have made a significant contribution to the IT Industry.

Delia is a native of Chicago, Illinois, growing-up in Pilsen neighborhood.  As a young child Delia participated in programs such as Head Start, CETA and other social programs, working to provide opportunities to children.  Delia attended college at Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio, TX, and received her B.A. in Political Science with a minor in Accountancy from University of Illinois – Chicago. Delia has a passion for advocacy of assisting organizations on behalf of the communities they represent and is continually working to fulfill that goal.
