We are presently looking for a Compliance Supervisor in our Compliance Department, located in Rosemont, IL.
Position Summary:  
The Compliance Supervisor will report to the Compliance Manager. The Compliance Supervisor will manage strategic projects for the department, work closely with the manager and staff on periodic compliance reviews and set a standard for excellence. The Compliance Department assures compliance with the various Federal and State regulations while seeking to prevent any penalties, liabilities or other punitive actions, and staying informed about upcoming regulatory changes which may impact business practices. 
As a Compliance Supervisor, primary responsibilities include:
  • Serve as project manager for compliance related projects.
  • Help supervise, review, and approve the periodic compliance monitoring and auditing activities for the mortgage company.
  • Develop positive working relationships with operations managers to facilitate process improvements throughout the organization based on compliance audit findings.
  • Produce, quality check, and approve monthly, quarterly and semi-annual compliance reports for management and executive review.
  • Ensure the department tracks all issues requiring corrective action and follows up to assure corrective action has been taken, including timely retesting and validation of corrections.
  • Produce and maintain key department procedures and job aids and ensure these remain up to date and staff are following proper procedures in their reviews.
  • Review and assist in responding to consumer complaints filed with regulatory agencies and consumer advocacy groups.
  • Maintain the confidentiality of sensitive borrower, bank, and mortgage company sensitive information and related materials.
  • Maintain a competent level of expertise and knowledge of the requirements of the various laws, regulations and rulings concerning the mortgage industry, both current and emergent.
  • Provide ongoing training and talent development for direct reports.


    Job Requirements:
    • Bachelor's degree.
    • Demonstrated success in working in an audit, quality control, or compliance role.
    • Prior project management experience.
    • Knowledge of HMDA and other key mortgage and banking regulations strongly preferred.
    • Knowledge of Federal and State compliance regulations.
    • Prior experience with Ellie Mae’s Encompass Loan Origination System strongly preferred.
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
      • Excellent analytic, research and organizational skills.
